It's just you and me mate. Due to a lack of kickstarter funding this series is over!

im glad we took quennville with the 30th instead of lemiuex. he seems to have more skill and a higher ceiling, although todd was pretty high on him and he wouldnt have been a bad pick but we also didnt have the luxury of having like 3 firsts. I do kind of wish we took that russian kid with the the pick but john has grown on me overall the sabres have done well at the draft the past few seasons it would seem. I was also impressed with the haul vancouver got this past draft to!

The longer last season went on the more Brycen Martin looked like Jamie McBain. That's not really a compliment considering the other young draft eligible defenseman on the tem looked like Sergei Zubov.

In the third round, a Jamie McBain is probably fine.

As I mentioned, he can skate skate skate, he loves the puck and rushing it, it's doing other things and actually getting some end result of that that will make or break him.

he wasn't all that great at development camp either...3rd round/project pick for the sabres...they'll be adding young d-men at a very slow pace the next couple of years...Pysyk, Risto, McCabe, Zadorov...Ruhwedel somewhere in the mix...plenty of time for Martin to develop

He really can, but he desperately needs to get stronger on the puck. Mark's been hammering defensive and puck-control lessons into the kid for nearly two years now... hopefully something sticks.

EDIT: Also, (frank) you, Dallas, for trying to make Honka go to Finland. Part of why he signed so quickly was to be able to stay in North America either in Dallas or Swift Current.

Interesting take on Fasching, I kinda like his odds at cracking the future top 6 but I don't know his game all that well so perhaps your projection is probably more likely. Good read nonetheless

I'm really looking for the Sabres to add that big time offensive defenseman with the 2015 STL pick. He'd be a monster addition to round out this already incredible defensive core.

Wouldn't surprise me if they grabbed one with their 1st pick.

In that range, Connor Hobbs, Jakub Zboril or Vince Dunn seem to fit the bill.

Still a little early for that though

Don't pump his tires too much, don't need him doing 30 more of these blogs

Typically it's a good rule of thumb to just not be nice to him at all.

You mean 58 more. Two for each team.

We need something to read about in August and September.

Bad news for you then, they are putting some sort of wires that won't allow people to jump off the high level bridge anymore.
